“Stunn”, “James Jett” and “Derwood” were just a few of the names they used before becoming Red Rockers. But it was a song which inspired the band to choose Red Rockers as their name. Click though to find out more.
The band was very heavily influenced by The Clash and a California based punk band called The Dils. The Dils had a song called “Red Rockers Rule” and another one called “Red Rockers”. It’s from those songs that the band selected their name.
On the heels of the success of their song “China”, Red Rockers toured the US supporting The Cars, Joan Jett, The Kinks and Men At Work. The band also had their video running on the upstart Music Television Network, MTV.
