Van Morrison Performs At The Orpheum Theater

We’re playing our entire music catalog, A through Z, all this week, starting at 9:00 a.m.! One of the songs under the letter “A” is “And It Stoned Me” by Van Morrison.

[photogallerylink id=97202 align=right]Released in February of 1970, “And Is Stoned Me” is the opening track on Van Morrison’s third album, Moondance.

Morrison was inspired to write the lyrics by remembering a fishing trip he took as a boy in Northern Ireland, when an old man offered them some water to drink that was supposed to be from “the stream.” After tasting some of the water, he experienced a feeling of being in “another dimension.”
