Jack White is a man who certainly knows how to keep busy. The musician’s first solo album, Blunderbuss, is set to release April 24th, which includes recently released tracks, “Love Interruption” and “Sixteen Saltines.” White also was just announced as part of the 2012 Lollapalooza lineup.
His latest endeavor happens April 27th, when White will be streaming a concert live from New York’s Webster Hall as part of the third season of the American Express series, Unstaged, exclusively on VEVO.
Unstaged has featured live performances from artists such as Coldplay, Arcade Fire, John Legend & The Roots, and more as well as pairing these artists with unique directors, such as famed photographer Anton Corbijn (Depeche Mode, U2), director Terry Gilliam (12 Monkeys, Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas), and the legendary Spike Lee.
Following in the footsteps of these creative collaborations, Jack White’s performance will be directed by actor/filmmaker, Gary Oldman. Oldman famously portrayed Sid Vicious of the Sex Pistols, Sirius Black from the Harry Potter series, Dracula, Commissioner James Gordon in Christopher Nolan’s Batman films, and many more memorable performances.
Oldman, who has previously ventured into film making, explains his anticipation for this upcoming event, saying, “I am extremely [pullquote quote="The plan is to immerse the Unstaged live stream audience in both a highly stylized and energetic viewing experience."]excited about the opportunity to collaborate with the incomparable and talented Jack White. The plan is to immerse the Unstaged live stream audience in both a highly stylized and energetic viewing experience.”

Unstaged will stream live on April 27th 9:00 PM ET / 6:00PM PT.
