WATCH Bruce Springsteen First Song Opening Night in Atlanta
[photogallerylink id=91752 align=right]It’s the first night of Bruce Springsteen’s 2012 Wrecking Ball Tour and the Atlanta audience at the sold-out Philips Arena is chanting “BRUUUUUUUUCE.” At 8:07, the lights went dim and James Brown‘s “I Feel Good” came over the speakers. With 17 people on stage, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band busted into “We Take Care Of Our Own.”
“Happy to kick off in Atlanta to see if this sh*t works!” Bruce shouted to the crowd.

He mentioned that he had a fond place in his heart for Atlanta and talked about recording the albums “Magic,” “The Rising” and “Working On A Dream” here.
During the almost 3-hour show, he played more songs from Wrecking Ball including “Shackled And Drawn,” “My City Of Ruins,” (with a band roll-call including a tribute to Clarence Clemons) and just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, the incredible “American Land.”
The E Street horns, including Clemons nephew Jake, added an incredible element to the performance. Songs like “10th Avenue Freezeout”, “E Street Shuffle” and “The Way You Do The Things You Do/634-5789″ rocked the house.
As is traditional, Bruce brought a young girl on stage with him to dance during “Dancing In The Dark.”
He finished the night with the classic “Tenth Avenue Freeze Out.”
