On February 23, 1995 [lastfm]Dave Grohl[/lastfm] debuted his new, post-[lastfm]Nirvana[/lastfm] band, the [lastfm]Foo Fighters[/lastfm], at The Jamblaya Club in Arcata, California. The listing of official members for the [lastfm]Foo Fighters[/lastfm] was much different than it is today.

[lastfm]Nate Mendel[/lastfm], [lastfm]Taylor Hawkins[/lastfm], [lastfm]Chris Shiflett[/lastfm], and [lastfm]Pat Smear[/lastfm] are all official members of the [lastfm]Foo Fighters[/lastfm] now, but [lastfm]Dave Grohl[/lastfm] was the only official member when the band started. He played all of instruments during the early recording sessions and recruited members of a former Seattle band play live with him.
