Phil Judd along with Tim and Neil Finn were the staple members of New Zealand/Australia new wave band Split Enz.

The Beatles and The Kinks certainly provided much inspiration and influence to Split Enz.  Together officially for just better than a decade, Split Enz has a pretty rich history and of course have influenced many other bands too.
