This show was inspired by a recent email exchange I had with the drummer from the band Jet Black Berries. They released a new album late last year, their first in over 20 years, and I highlighted them on a couple of my past shows. I was first introduced to them when I was in college and I bought an album called The Enigma Variations, Vol. 1. Enigma was one of those now defunct, terrific labels that signed a lot of interesting bands. TSOL, Berlin, The Dead Milkmen, The Untouchables, Sonic Youth, and many other bands were all a part of Enigma.
Tune in tomorrow night at 8 as I highlight the history of Enigma Records.
