What sad news.

[lastfm]Alex Chilton[/lastfm] has died in New Orleans. [lastfm]The Box Tops[/lastfm], [lastfm]Big Star[/lastfm]…a kick ass [lastfm]Replacements [/lastfm]song and a long legacy of influence are left in his wake. And yes, the “theme song” to “That 70′s Show”. (The first year was the Big Star original, after that, it was the [lastfm]Cheap Trick[/lastfm] cover.)

Rather than write a tribute to him here, I think next Tuesday’s Dave After Tomorrow will be all about him.
